Many countries limit the age of used cars they let in. Pick your country, enter the year from the car’s papers and see whether it meets the rule we last checked. The result is a guide, not a ruling: always ask our office to confirm the exact dates before you pay.

How age is counted
Countries count age differently: Kenya uses the year of first registration, Uganda, Zimbabwe and Trinidad & Tobago use the year or date of manufacture, and Jamaica uses the model year. Close to the limit, the exact month matters. Open your country’s page under Import Rules for the full rule and sources.
