Official Autocom Japan Channels and How to Spot Impersonators

AJAutocom Japan, YokohamaUpdated 1 October 20266 min read

Autocom Japan’s official channels are the website autocj.co.jp, email addresses ending in @autocj.co.jp, the office numbers shown on our website, and our YouTube, Facebook and Instagram accounts listed below. Payments go only by bank transfer to accounts in Japan in the name “Autocom Japan Inc”. Anything else claiming to be us should be checked before you trust it.

Key takeaways

  • Our only website for cars and payments is autocj.co.jp. Staff emails always end with @autocj.co.jp.
  • The beneficiary of every Autocom bank account is “Autocom Japan Inc”, and all accounts are in Japan. The official list is on our website.
  • We do not use Western Union or similar payment services, and our local offices never collect cash.
  • New bank details, a personal account or pressure to pay fast are signs of someone pretending to be Autocom.
  • If you find a fake page or account, report it to the platform and tell us through an official office number.

Official website and email

Everything official starts from autocj.co.jp. It has our stock, our office contacts and the official list of bank accounts.

  • Main website: autocj.co.jp
  • Company information: corporate.autocj.co.jp
  • This blog: blog.autocj.co.jp
  • Email: every staff address ends with @autocj.co.jp. The head office sales address is sales@autocj.co.jp.

Be careful with look-alike addresses: an extra word, a hyphen, a missing letter or a different ending. An email that claims to be from Autocom but comes from a free email service is not from us.

You can browse our current stock directly on the official website. Typing the address yourself is safer than clicking a link someone sent you.

Official offices and WhatsApp numbers

These are the office contacts shown on our official website. Always double-check them against the country pages on autocj.co.jp, which are kept up to date.

In some other countries we work with local agents. If someone says they are an Autocom office or agent and they are not in the table above, confirm with our Yokohama head office before you trust them. Remember that no office or agent ever collects payment.

Our sales staff may also message you on WhatsApp. If you are not sure a number belongs to Autocom, message one of the office numbers above and ask before you send any money.

Official social media accounts

Our official social media accounts are:

Pages with a similar name, our logo or copied car photos are not proof of anything. Compare the web address with the links above. If you find another account using our name, ask us through an official office number before you trust it.

Official bank accounts

All our bank accounts are in Japan, and the beneficiary is always “Autocom Japan Inc”.

The only official list is on our bank account page. We do not publish account numbers anywhere else, including this blog. If you receive an invoice or a request to pay an account whose beneficiary is not “Autocom Japan Inc.”, ignore it. It is fraud.

  • We accept payment by bank transfer (T/T) to Japan. Some other methods are available for selected countries only. See our payment help page.
  • We do not use payment services such as Western Union.
  • Our local offices and agents do not accept cash or any payment.
  • Our staff may not make transfers on your behalf.

Autocom is not responsible for payments made to accounts other than those on our official website.

Warning signs of someone pretending to be Autocom

Fake pages and accounts often look real. Their behaviour gives them away. Stop and check if someone using our name:

  • Sends new or “updated” bank details, especially by email or chat.
  • Asks you to pay a personal account or an account whose beneficiary is not “Autocom Japan Inc”.
  • Asks you to pay an account outside Japan.
  • Asks for payment by Western Union, another money-transfer service, or any method not shown on our payment help page.
  • Says they are a local agent and asks you for cash, or offers to pay Japan for you.
  • Pushes you to pay fast: “another buyer is waiting”, “price valid only today”.
  • Offers free cars, cash or prizes, or asks for a fee to release a prize. See our scam alert.
  • Writes from a free email address or from an address that does not end in @autocj.co.jp.

How to report impersonation

Tell us, and report the fake account to the platform. Both help protect other buyers.

  1. Contact us through an official number. Use the office contacts on autocj.co.jp, not any number the suspicious account gave you. Send screenshots of the page, messages and any invoice.
  2. Report the account to the platform. Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp all have a “Report” option. On Facebook and Instagram, choose the option for an account pretending to be someone else.
  3. Do not send money or personal documents to the account while you check.
  4. If you have already paid, contact your bank immediately and report it to your local police. Our exporter verification guide explains what to do step by step.
